Donna Friedman Meir serves as Chief Innovation Officer for Insight Research Group, the research driven strategy firm that inspires its clients to build innovative and impactful experiences for consumers. In her role at Insight, Donna innovates forward thinking initiatives and services to best serve the needs of Insight’s clients. She is the company’s sparkplug, providing senior leadership on strategic direction, marketing and business development.

Prior to Insight Research Group, Donna founded and served as president of National Geographic Kids Entertainment (NGKE). Under her direction, NGKE produced several critically acclaimed television properties that have been honored with multiple Emmy Awards. Donna has also held senior executive positions with the WB Television Network and Nickelodeon. Her accomplishments include leading Kids’ WB! to the #1 ratings position on Saturday mornings for four straight years and ten consecutive sweeps victories, helping to build the first transmedia megabrand, Pokemon, and its successor, Yu-gi-oh!, and successfully leading brand strategy, marketing, and early new business efforts for Nickelodeon’s first international channels.

Donna is a Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude graduate of Harvard University, and was named one of top 25 most powerful women in television by Electronic Media Magazine in 2002.

Donna currently serves on the board of directors for Children Now, the advocacy group whose mission is to develop and drive socially innovative “win-win” approaches to helping all children achieve their full potential.
